Congratulations to the Shining Stars attending the St.Paul's Advanced Studies Program

Adra Gonzalez
Adra Gonzalez is a rising senior at Newport High School, and is ecstatic to be given the opportunity to take part in the St. Paul’s Advanced Studies program. During her Junior year, Adra received various awards such as the Dartmouth Book Award, the John Philip Sousa Band Award, the Clarkson University Leadership Award, the Daughters of the American Revolution Award, the Newport High School English ROAR award, and a Chemistry award. She has also been elected a class officer during all four years of High School, and currently serves as class president. She was named Historian for the National Technical Honors Society during her Junior year. She has maintained High Honor Roll throughout the entirety of highschool, and is a part of many different school organizations. On top of that, she dances competitively with her local dance team. Adra is looking forward to building on this with her St. Paul's experience.

 Brianna Wilkinson
 Brianna Wilkinson is an incoming senior and is very excited to take part in the St Paul's Advanced Studies Program. Brianna received multiple awards throughout her high school career and received the Harvard Book Award this year. Brianna has maintained high honors or honors throughout the entirety of high school. She is serving as her class secretary for the third year in a row. Brianna has been inducted in both National Honors Society and National Technical Society and is currently serving as Vice President for NHS. Brianna is thrilled to add this opportunity to her list of achievements. 

Riely Skarin

Riely Skarin is attending the Advanced Studies program at St. Paul’s. During her junior year she was presented with the Peer Pride award by the graduating class, was awarded the George Eastman Young Leaders Award, and the Russell Sage College Student Sage Scholar scholarship. Riely had the pleasure of being the Junior Marshal alongside one of her other classmates. She is a Career Technical Education two year completer through the business program at Newport. At her time in the business program, she helped to reinvent the School Store, help create a website, design apparel, and other social media platforms to market the store. As a result, she was presented with the Certification Of Excellence by Mr. LeFlem. Some of her other academic accomplishments include, Social Studies ROAR award, the Mathematical Achievement and Investment in Learning award, and has maintained high honors. Riely Skarin is also the Treasurer of the Class of 2022, the Vice President of Future Business Leaders of America, and Vice President of National Technical Honors Society, and a part of Student Council and National Honors Society. Switching to athletics, she was chosen to be captain of both the soccer team and the basketball team. At the end of the basketball season Riely was then given the Coaches Award. Riely is looking forward to the opportunities that come from St. Paul’s in her future endeavors. 

Amelia Gelina
Amelia is currently the historian of the National Honor Society and a member of the National Technical Honor Society.She is a member of Youth and Government and was elected as a NH Youth and Government Senator. She is also a member of the student council. She has maintained honors or high honors throughout high school. She has received many awards including the St. Michael's College Book Award for Academic Achievement and Social Conscience, an award for being an outstanding student in Earth and Science and the Engineering Award of Excellence. She has also received a certificate for completing two years in the Pre-Engineering Program. Amelia ran in the 2021 Winter Carnival Pageant. She received the title of first runner up and won the Lisa Gauvin award. In her spare time, Amelia dances at Star Dancer Studios and has just earned her pointe shoes for ballet. Amelia is enjoying her time at St. Paul's while meeting new people who share her passion for learning.

Josh Sharron
Josh Sharron, Class of 2020 
Josh placed 5th at 2021 NHSCA HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR NATIONALS this past weekend. He achieved All American status at the High School level in wrestling, this is a huge accomplishment.  Josh also has committed to D2 at Wheeling University in WV.  Josh participated in the club team Olympic duals last weekend, which was an awesome opportunity for him as went against the nation best wrestlers and Nationals this weekend.  Even though he is from Unity, Josh loves being a Tiger and being an underdog from a small school. He has demonstrated that with hard work anything is possible.
He was also awarded the New Hampshire Officials Association Scholarship. 2 NHIAA wrestling applicants in the state were selected.This award is given from the wrestling officials. Applicants had to write an essay on Sportsmanship and also displayed this during their High School wrestling career.

Applicant must have achieved at least two (2) of the following: (a) minimum of B+ average; (b)ranked in the top 25% of class; (c) ACT score of 24 or an SAT score of 1100 (Math and Reading) Applicant must have participated in two sports for at least two years in each sport and continue to play two sports in his/her senior year .Applicant must have earned at least one varsity letter in each of two sports
